It would be the Kiramoon Star Jelly Magic Resurfacing Facial if the Powerpuff Girls had a favorite exfoliating peel. To be honest, I was initially drawn to the bottle by its bubblegum pink packaging – it’s playful, accessible, and not at all intimidating like some other Serious Skin Care (TM) products are. There’s a lot more to this outfit than what it’s wearing. A jelly containing potent ingredients such as alpha-hydroxy acids (10%), niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid is balanced by nourishing passion fruit seed oil and cactus flower extract. TLDR: A facial formula to transform your skin.

Mask for resurfacing skin with Kiramoon Star Jelly

In order to keep my skin clear, smooth, and vibrant, I use exfoliators (the second I touch my chin I break out). When I don’t get enough sleep or drink enough water, my oily-combo skin tends to get dull, so I strive to use skin peels and scrubs. Over the last week, I replaced my normal nightly skin care with Star Jelly’s resurfacing facial, and I’m eager to continue to use it.

You might already be familiar with the process if you’ve used exfoliating masks before (like Drunk Elephant Babyfacial or Kiehl’s Nightly Refining Micro-Peel Concentrate). You brush the jelly-like product all over your face (just don’t apply it near your eyes… cause ouch! ), wait for it to dry (about 20 to 30 minutes, or the time it takes you to finish an episode of Schitt’s Creek), and rinse. Dead skin cells are removed by the mask, leaving skin supple and so smooth. There is no need to purchase a brush separately since the bottle includes one complimentary.

Breakouts are also helped. The night after using the facial, I woke up with a clear face. I could feel two blemishes on my chin making their way into the world yesterday. This is not exaggeration. I keep touching my chin to see where the zits have gone, forgetting that that is how I got myself into this predicament in the first place.

However, even though the bottle says “fragrance-free,” it still has a scent (as a side note, I assume no additional “masking fragrances” have been added). Although it’s subtle and reminds me of a fruity gummy bear scent (the site states that it is naturally scented with vanilla and sweet almond), it’s there, so just to let you know.

I feel good about investing in Kiramoon because its packaging is recyclable and it uses cruelty-free ingredients. In addition to looking adorable, it also adds a touch of class to my bathroom.
